Interesting take on the movie, Andrew. I felt there were a lot of real-world applications for the movie's wild science fiction concept. Mostly that life is what we make of it...

It's nice to know that you have time for your family because nowadays, all are busy doing their job than to their family. Like others, I do believe in the magic, magic of the dreams. That's why, I really love to hear some legends and story of a fantasy.

When we use memory our attention is on something that happened in the past. When we use imagination our attention is on a fabricated future possibility. Often people live in their memories or their fantasized imaginations and can get stuck or trapped in those misuses of attention.

Inception shows how the main character, Cobb gets distracted and scatters his attention, especially through his attachment to memories of his wife who has died. The movie also shows how drugs used to keep them asleep in the subconscious mind affects their use of concentrated attention. This is accurate since many drugs have a detrimental affect on our mental muscle or will.

So much of success in life is mental. The concept of implanting an idea in someone's head during sleep is really equivalent to implanting an idea into the subconscious mind. Like Jeanine says, positive affirmations are a technique for (supposedly) doing this. I would add one note, however: With positive affirmations, the thing or goal should be expressed in the present tense. The reasoning behind this is that the subconscious mind will act to materialize that which it has come to believe. Stating a goal in the future tense implies that it has not yet been attained.

Good analogy between the movie Inception and personality development. After the watching the movie, it made me also to think that the unconscious mind can play a great role in a person life.

It just that those agents in the movie go in a persons dream to plant an idea. But it can be done in real life even to yourself. Things such as "frequent positive affirmation", like saying "I will definitely succeed in my business" every night before you sleep will plant this affirmation deep to the unconscious/subconscious mind which will have a long term positive effect to the decisions you made.

This is highly related to having a positive mental attitude in attaining success in anything you do.
