Inception… Real Life or Fantasy?

Posted in BLOG, General    |    6 Comments

Hey there Andrew Hawkes here,

hope this finds you well with enough food to keep you from being hungry and enough love in your life to keep you sane.

Inception fact or fiction?I went out with my beautiful wife last Friday night, her mother came and looked after the children and we went out for dinner and then to the movies. It has been a while since we got out like this by ourselves and it was an enjoyable evening.

Since it had been a while since we had gone to the movies there was quite a variety to choose from. We had a debate and the clear cut winner was Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio as the lead. Of course with any new release you get mixed reports as to what it was like... understanding that everything is subjective I pretty much keep and open mind when going to see something so that I can make my own mind up (ironic considering the movie). So I guess I will start by saying this... I thoroughly enjoyed it. There were, from what I saw a couple of minor discrepancies with the actually physics of some of the sequences yet all and all it was a ripper of a movie.

It is one of those movies that cause you to really think about what is happening within the plot, and causes you to think long after you have left the cinema.

Now without ruining the story for those of you who have not seen it, the movie works along the guise that memories or even secrets can be extracted from someones mind while they are dreaming. As such they enter peoples dreams while they are in the sleep state for the purpose of extraction, company secrets, codes to safes, all of this sort of thing. (and really is this any different to hypnosis?). However the question is then asked, if we can extract information from someones mind while they are sleeping, could we perhaps insert an idea for it to manifest and grow of it's own volition?

I know for a fact that people will watch the movie and tell people it is a load of rubbish.... yet the more I look at it the more I realise that it is far more fact than fiction. Sure some of the scenes and ideas in the movie are a little outside of the realm (at least for now) of possibility, yet the theology behind the concept is being practiced by millions daily. Anyone that has had any dealings with personal development, life coaching, success coaching, watched 'the secret' or even attended a personal development seminar will know what I am referring too.

Within a simple goal setting session with any coach, or at any personal development seminar you are doing just as is suggested in the Movie Inception, the only difference is that you are not simply planting a seed to watch it grow, you are actively traveling through your own personal time line to a point in time where it (the goal) has already manifested the seed has already blossomed, you are then experiencing the feeling, smell, sights, sounds emotions of how things are when you realise this goal. You see when goal setting you set the goal as if it has already taken place, this, when done correctly, then causes the brain to function in congruency with that of someone who DOES, and indeed has taken all actions necessary for the completion of said goal.

If you have yet to see this movie then go, do not waste another minute, look past the Hollywood hype and just enjoy the ride you are taken on... if you have seen it, I am sure if you look at what I have said here in an impartial light you will be able to see what I mean... perhaps you already know? (with out any direct suggestion from me)

If you have enjoyed what you have read here, or it has stirred some thoughts or feelings inside of you please leave your thoughts below, of course feel free to tweet this and share it on Facebook as well....

Well that is my thought for the day any way, so this is Andrew Hawkes signing off

Blogging for Profit Begins With a Long Term Plan

Posted in General    |    No Comments

Many people dream of blogging for profit, and this goal
is not far beyond the reach of someone with average
intelligence, a willingness to work hard, and a basic
grasp of blogging technology. However, very few
people manage to reap the profits they want from their
blog. Most people who attempt to make money with
their blogs do not succeed for two reasons. Often,
bloggers have unrealistic expectations of how fast their
readership will grow and how much money they will
make, and when these expectations are not met the
disappointment can crush the desire to continue
blogging. The other trap that many bloggers fall into
has to do with lack of planning. If you want to turn a
profit as a blogger, the key to success is to make a
realistic plan and stick with it.

To succeed at blogging for profit, the main thing that
you will need is a large readership. The higher your
traffic, the more advertisers will agree to pay you.
However, cultivating the regular visitors that you will
need in order to make a profit isnt easy. As more and
more blogs appear each day, having a great idea or a
wonderful writing style is no longer enough to get
attention. You need to be able to market your blog
effectively.

Too many bloggers spend all of their time writing posts
and almost no time marketing their project. To be
certain, updating as often as you can is a great way to
keep your blog high on blogrolls and high in blog
search engines like technorati, and once your readers
know that you update frequently they will return to your
site on a regular basis. However, it does not matter how
often you update if nobody is reading your page, so dont
skimp on the time that you spend drawing visitors to
your site. To make your dreams of blogging for profit a
reality, try decreasing your number of posts and using
some of that time to draw new visitors by setting up
link exchanges with other bloggers, making contacts in
the blog community, and following other established
modes of winning traffic.

Of course, even if you are a marketing genius or have a
really great idea for a blog, success is not going to
happen overnight. Building the kind of readership that
blogging for profit requires takes time, and in all
likelihood it will be at least several months before you
are able to turn much of a profit. Try to stay committed
to your blogging project during this initial rough period.
To stay motivated, set goals for how often you will
update and how many readers you want to attract, and
then reward yourself for sticking with your plan.

ASP.NET Blogging Software

Of all of the different kinds of programs on the market
today, many people feel that Microsoft’s recently
released ASP.NET blogging software is the most
advanced. In many ways, this particular program is
more adaptable and more versatile than any other
blogging software on the market. Although most of the
people who favor the program are accomplished coders
who are familiar with programming languages like html
and C++, this new program from Microsoft is much
easier to use than a lot of other blog design software
that incorporates hands-on coding. One of the things
that makes ASP.NET stand apart from its competitors is
the fact that it allows designers to use a wide variety of
programming languages when they build a blog. This
means that a larger number of coders can realize their
dreams by programming in the language with which
they are most familiar and in which they are most
accomplished.

A lot of people have welcomed ASP.NET blogging
software with enthusiasm and with open arms.
However, that doesn’t mean that the ASP.NET program
is right for everybody. If you are not familiar with
computer languages like javascript or perl, you may
find that the release of ASP.NET does not directly
affect you at all. However, if you are an experienced
web designer, you are likely to find much to celebrate in
this exciting new program.

Indecision

This four syllable word has cost more people more opportunity than any other one thing. There is another word that has a similar effect and that is procrastination.

There is plenty of evidence to support the fact that these words are really one in the same, we procrastinate because we are in a state of indecision. So what causes us to procrastinate? Well it is something that we have touched on a few times here, FEAR. Now this may sound silly to you. You may want to hold on to your position and say
"Its not fear, its because we are not 100% sure of the outcome of our actions."

Well that in essence is fear. Can you imagine this world if everybody thought like that? We would not have TV, we would not have the motor car, we would not have the incandescent light bulb, we would not have KFC or McDonlads or really any of the modern conveniences we now enjoy.

The people that came up with the ideas for the things we now, mostly, take for granted, were certain that they were going to do something, there was no indecision about what they were setting about to achieve. Did they know exactly how they were going to do it? I doubt it very much. Was everything in place and working perfectly? I can almost guarantee it was not.
No these people simply made a decision that automatically cut themselves of from any other possible outcome. Some of this may sound familiar, what I am trying to highlight in this post however, is that it is our own indecision our own fear of, failing, of succeeding, of what ever, that is causing us to put off the things, yes to procrastinate which of course is ultimately costing us everything that we could every truly desire.

So somethings to remember, ALL of the great entrepreneurs throughout time had a commonality, they ALL made decisions quickly and changed them slowly, IF AT ALL.
They did/do not wait for the perfect circumstances, they understand that the perfect circumstances really don't exist.
They did/do not let any outside influences steal their dreams and alter their plans. And what a beautiful thing!

Its simple, you make a decision as to whether or not your are ready for, wealth, success, loving relationships, or what ever in your life.
Its either yes and you take action towards your desired result.
or
Its no and you do nothing, you sit back and let your circumstances control you.

Something also to note, it might not always be plain sailing, in fact from my experience there is a lot of rough weather, this is only sent to test our resolve, to make us stronger, to ensure that we are ready for our new found utopia.

If you can remember that throughout your journey, and stay true to your course, then you will always make it to your destination.

John Lavenia explains this beautifully in his book 'Integrity is Everything'

He says that there is a simple way to see if you are going in the right direction, or making the right decision. Ask yourself two questions;

1. Is this going to take me closer to my goal?
If the answer is no, simple don't do it, if the answer is yes then follow it up with this question.
2. Will my actions impair or hurt anyone?
If the answer is yes, then do not take action, if the answer is no, take action and do not look back. Cut off from any other outcome.

Decision (Be Do Have anything you desire) Indecision (let life be your master)

You Decide.

Ready for 2009?

Posted in Uncategorized    |    No Comments

Well it has been a couple of weeks since I last posted. Of course as I am sure most of you will appreciate this is a busy time of year when people are catching up with family and friends

I was lucky enough to spend Christmas with my Beautiful wife and we had a nice relaxing time, we donated our morning to the less fortunate than ourselves and helped serve Christmas Dinner at a Supported Accommodation Hostel. And in the evening we got to enjoy watching our daughter come home and open her presents. Truly Fabulous.

Now there was only one downside to my Christmas, and that was that I was unable to see my own family, my sisters and my parents. Now I do not say this to invoke sympathy, far from it. This was due to a decision I made in July of this year. The Decision was that I was no longer going to settle for, or listen to people who were not having the results I desired in life. Was it an easy decision? Well that depends on entirely how you wish to look at it.

I mean if you look at the face of it, of course it was a hard decision to make, who wants to miss out on seeing their family on Christmas?
However if we look deeper then, no it was not a hard decision at all, why?
Well the way I look at it is this, I could forgo this Christmas with my family and remain focused on what it is that I am setting out to achieve here, which of course it total Financial Freedom, and be able to spend every Christmas hereafter with them in pure indulgence,
or
I could give up on my dreams and aspirations and conform to society.

So was it a hard decision, NO, it was not.

So how does 2009 look for you? Are you worried about the economy? Are you a bit like chicken little and think that perhaps the sky is falling?

You know 2009 has the ability to be the best you have ever experienced, really. All it takes is a decision to act, that's all anything ever takes.

So what can you do to make 2009 the best ever?
You can start by asking yourself what it was you truly desire from life.
If you can honestly answer yes, then I congratulate you and wish you the all best, you obviously have it all figured out.
If not then ask your self why not? Why is it that you do not have all that it is you desire. You may be shocked to hear what your sub conscious mind tells you.
If you are not where you deserve to be, and everybody was born with the right to absolute riches, then could it possibly be because that your own best thinking got you to where you are?
So therefore if your current actions are not producing the results you desire, would it not make sense to change your actions.
OK so we have decided to change our actions, how will you know if what you are doing is right? The answer is that you more than likely won't, well that is of course unless you follow the path of someone who has gone before you. In the last 18months two years I have certainly had many ups and downs, and I must say that ALL of the ups have come from when I have listened to advice from someone who was where I aspired to be.
And in all fairness unless the people that you are asking for advice on whether you should or whether you should not do something are more often than not scared that if you break free of your current rut and leave them behind because they are to scared to make a decision themselves. UNLESS THEY HAVE THE RESULTS YOU DESIRE YOU HAVE NO BUSINESS IN LISTENING TO THEM!!!!! They will only drag you down to their level.

I am committed to making 2009 the most lucrative in my life, and in doing so I will be helping a few brave souls realise their dreams and financial desires also.

The business I am in will be making history in 09, the current company record, which was set in September of 08, of $181,000US will be shattered in 2009, there WILL be 6 figures weeks!!!

And people on my team will be some of the people who will be doing it, could it be you?

I love my life and I am grateful for all the lessons I have had in my life, I am especially grateful for the last 18 months of my life, I have married my beautiful wife and found the greatest community of like minded people!
2009 for us will be opening of the flood gates!

You CAN do it too

Make it a great New Year!
