Bare Knuckle Basics Its been a while since I started working from home and internet marketing and in that time I have had a massive learning curve, you know I didn't hit it out of the park with my first attempt, and by the time I started getting my head around Google they went a changed the rules and what I had learned to that point was almost for nothing. I say almost as there were lessons taken from that which have certainly allowed me to prosper and grow. Which is very important.

You know when you talk to people about what working from home is about, when you ask them what it means to them, (asking a few people) you will get a variety of answers. Now I am not talking about the outcome of what it a Homebased Business will do for them, I am talking about what type of business they're involved with. Some will tell you it is about making sure you are talking to 150 people a day, others will say it is about ranking #1 on Google, and even more (growing daily) will tell you that it is about mastering Social media... You know what? From my observations all of these people are correct. Yet you will find home business guru's out there who to their credit have made a lot of money who tell you that there is only one of those elements is really needed. And that is to talk to people each and every day... now, I don't necessarily disagree with that sentiment. However if your focus is on internet marketing then talking to prospects every day may well be a waste of your time.

Of course if your focus us purely network marketing or mlm then yes you absolutely MUST talk to people daily to succeed. I'll be honest, I have no trouble talking to people, that doesn't bother me in the slightest... lets face it though people turn to an online business so they don't have to talk to people right? Well at least not in person. Something that I have certainly found is that when you do actually have money coming in, and not just talking about it it is far easier to actually talk to people. It is easier (albeit a psychological reason) to get people to talk to. As your business evolves you will most certainly start to understand your strengths and begin to work with them rather than trying (in vane) to fight or force against them.

Anyway I am getting a little of topic here... I was merely highlighting the fact that not all homebased business's are created equally, and regardless of the money that you are making if it doesn't feel quite right then change and do something that does!

Working from home has allowed me to really connect with who I am as a person, it has given me the opportunity to gain some great clarity as to what my purpose is. As such I am involved with a couple of different organizations all of which enable me to fulfill that purpose and vision for my life. Along my journey there have been a number of facets that I have learned that have enabled me to do things that I really enjoy and I and benefit monetarily from... so you could say my time investment in my education is starting to pay off.

Some of the things that I have discovered is that there are a lot of successful marketers out there that are missing some of the basic fundamentals, the Bare Knuckle Basics as I like to say. So I put it all in a report and what do you think I called it? That's right Bare Knuckle Basics. Now I am not claiming to be a guru or anything like that... far from it there is still much more to learn. I know what I know,  All the report is are some basic stuff that I believe can certainly help you move forward.... its free and useful information... they way I think it should be, and with your feedback I can continue to improve what is in that and subsequent reports.

The Whole Truth.. and nothing but the Truth

Today, and the last few days for that matter have been a little funny. I have taken on the titan like might of Telstra, and won a battle (of course the war is far from over) and I have had the pleasure of speaking with a few people who really seem content with 'their lot' in life. Meaning to me that they are willing to 'settle' for less that what they deserve.

It is no secret that I make my living online, I do little internet marketing, I also partake in Network Marketing also (there again, don't we all in someway? Just some of us get paid for it) As a result of what I do I get to talk to a lot of different people all of whom are looking for something more from life (I make this assumption as they contact me through various means, I don't look for them). All of them tell me similar stories. They tell me that they are looking for something more, they want some extra income to be able to enjoy life and be 'happy'. They would sincerely love to work for themselves. And every single one of them tell me that they are willing to do 'what it takes' yet when presented with a golden opportunity to actually do something about where they are in life and really take control.... I would say about 97% of them find some excuse as to why the (given) opportunity would not work, or at least would not work for them. Umm..... Hello? If it works for anyone at all..... it can work for you... the only variable from you and the people that are seemingly having 'results' is.... YOU. That is the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth.

Most people don't like to hear this of course and like even less to admit it. Until this obstacle has been overcome then there is no point looking at anything. PERIOD. There is only ever going to be one person responsible for the outcome of anything in your life... (again) YOU.

I was contacted by a prospective business associate just yesterday asking me to justify or provide proof of something said in an email that was sent to him. Being the busy person that I am, I thought long and hard about what I how I was going to answer his question. It went along the lines of this;

No matter what I tell you here you would not be appeased by the answer. The reason for that is because you are looking for something to be wrong with it.

It is the same reason people jump from opportunity to opportunity or continue to search for that elusive 'silver bullet'. The truth is you can have success with ANY opportunity... you just have to make a decision to actually start one and stick with it!

Now this of course was not the replay the person was looking for... I do get tired of people feeling I need to justify myself to them especially when it was them who contacted me in the first place.

The truth is you CAN have success with any opportunity, you can have outrageous success. The fact still remains that you MUST make a decision to actually do something and STOP trying to put the power outside your control. If you want to make a change great, make a decision, if you don't... that is great too... just do us all a favour and stick to your day job and stop annoying people who are actually doing what you apparently DREAM of doing.

So there it is, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth Once you understand this then you will be able to accomplish anything!

Your Ideal Prospect…… What do they look like?

I was talking with a good friend of mine today who is very successful and well recognised as a leader in the Network Marketing industry. Being a multiple 7 figure income earner, I think that when she says something you should probably sit up and think.

Today she was offering me a little coaching, you know, when someone you aspire to be like offers coaching, TAKE IT ON BOARD.

She presented an exercise to me, one that I have indeed been through before. You know, this exercise is something that should be done quite regularly, if not only to really clarify who and what it is you are looking for, to let the Universe know as well. One of the reasons you should keep doing this exercise is because as you find yourself growing and changing, so too might your ideal prospect change and grow with you.

So I sat down with a piece of paper and began by asking myself a question (and of course I wrote this question down) 'Who is my ideal prospect - what do they look like?- How do they show up?

A funny thing happens when you ask yourself good questions, you get good answers. Here are some of the things I came back with.

My ideal prospect, or someone I would like to conduct business with is like this, they are someone who I like trust and admire. Wow we could end this post right here......... but we're not going to that is really true, yet it is really broad. I am sure you have heaps of people (as I do) who fall into that basket right? So we need to get down even further.

For me it is someone who enjoys life and who wants to make a difference in this world, they are big thinker and people who see solutions rather than problems. They see themselves as having the power to be the solution to the worlds problems and take an active part in pursuing that. They are someone who people look to for support and advice and have the foresight to see when something is going to take off and when something is going to bomb. They are loyal and to that end have stickability so they are very tenacious. People consider them to be charismatic and a headstrong, yet they are sensitive to peoples needs and feelings. They believe that the cup is half full, however they understand that the usefulness of a cup is its emptiness. They are happy to do 'what it takes' to succeed and if they have trouble in one approach they find another, and another until they get it. And to be fair I think I know that this person, my ideal prospect or future business partner are someone I can depend on and would be proud to call my friend.

I am lucky enough to have many people who fit this profile. And to be honest I am lucky enough to know that when I show someone something I can do it with perfect integrity.

I made a conscious choice years ago, that I would make my own way in life. after spending 11 years in the military I was really un-prepared for the 'cruelties' of the real world. Don't mistake this for victim-hood, I just understand now that you really must look at things of your own volition, don't take someones word for it. People would have you believe all sorts of things if they think they will get away with it and if they think it will propel themselves forward.

Does that mean that everyone is out for themselves? No not at all, I just think (and this is just my opinion) that there are a lot of people looking for the silver bullet to fix all their woes. I don't think it exists, people are quick to give their power away............ unfortunately if there were a 'magic' or 'silver' bullet, this is PRECISELY where it lays, within your OWN power to make a decision. Don't ever give it up.

I want to say thankyou to my friend, you know who you are and know that you are special in our lives.

I also want to encourage anyone who is in business...... what ever business it is...... if you are not having the results you desire..... do this exercise and watch it change. I would love to hear what happens for you.

So Here is the Problem with Network Marketing

Hey there,

thnetwork marketinganks for stopping by again great to see you!!

So, the title suggests that there is a problem with network marketing.......... what do you think?

You know if you asked anyone who has ever had any sort of success with network marketing they will tell you that there is nothing wrong with it, at that it works 100% of the time, well fair enough, I mean I am a strong believer that there is only one variable to any opportunity, be it networking, or traditional business, and that of course is the person, if there are successful people succeeding with a proven system then there is only one problem! You!  No offence intended by that statement, and by you I am not necessarily talking about yourself the reader.

OK fine, obviously however I was going somewhere with what I said right? Of course, and here it is......... The Problem with Networking Marketing is this........... Most (not all, but most) of them are trying to sell their own 'superior quality' products at inflated prices so that they can make enough margin to then pay their distributors. So this then causes a whole other raft of problems.

Let me set the scene, you are a net-worker for XYZ Company selling dish washing liquid (make or what ever I don't care), you have found some prospective customers, great. Now you have your opportunity, you can try get them to buy your product that is on average 30% more than what they would normally spend on dish washing liquid. So then it starts, you have to explain the benefits of why your product is better and more superior. Regardless of the fact of whether or not the product is better or not you are now convincing your prospective customer, so in my opinion you are starting behind the 8 ball. You see most, networking companies are in the business of creating a demand for there products, and this requires that you as a distributor or representative have to coach you clients on why to buy and how. And lets face it, if a Net-worker for one of the companies who pedal their own products doesn't have a 'downline' then they really don't have a business. I mean the only people who really buy the products they sell are the people in the business. In fact I remember attending a meeting to support a friend once and I would have been quite happy to use the products,  as I did actually see the value in it, yet when I voiced that I was told that if I was going to use the products that I might as well build a business. Basically what I was being told was that if I didn't build a business then why would I want to use the products, very short sighted I would have thought, any way I digress.


So that's the problem with Network Marketing...........so why do I do it? Good question right? Well I do it because I actually found a company who have managed to create an opportunity around a market that already exists, and as the market changes and asks for new products the company provides exactly what they are asking for, not a derivative thereof, but the actual name brand product that they want..........and what is better is that it is guaranteed to be the the best price on or off line, if you find it cheaper they will pay you the difference!! Win win I say!

It's funny cause when people ask me what I do, I simply tell them, I show people, not unlike yourself, how to save anywhere from 5-70% on their every day purchases, I show them how, and you know what, this is the best part, I don't even have to ask if they want to look at the business, they ask me!! I love it! There is nothing more simple or satisfying, will it last? Well as long as there are people who want to save money on their shopping then there is a demand to fill, and there is no other company that will come close. Seriously, check it out for yourself!

Ever Feel Like your Standing Still?

Hi All,
its been a little while no? What can I say, I have been flat tack, have hardly had a chance to take a breath.
Doing what I hear you all ask? Well expolring the possibilties of the online world, and oh my god, talk about opening pandoras box, you could literally spend every waking moment online and still not even scratch the surface of what is available out there, it is no wonder that there are so many people making great livings online, so whats their secret?
Well as best as I can tell it is the fact that they pick their niche and stick to it, whether it be network marketing, affiliate marketing, peddling home made things, they pick their passion and go with it.
So if my passion is helping people avoid the same mistakes I did, and helping them to grow how can I turn that into and online goldmine? One way is to write an E-Book and provide infomation that way, you can provide the E-Book free and develop and list and then email the people with monthly or weekly tips to help them out, then provide them with other tools that they can purchase through you to help them on their journey.
The means are really only limited by your imagination, and isn't that true of all opportunity.
Who says that you cannot have your cake and eat it too?

You know, and this has been said before, the only thing that seperates the haves from the have nots is the belief that they harbour.
So if you believe you can have it all, you are right.
The same as if;
You believe your destined to fail and spend your life in poverty, you are right.
Get up one more time than you have been knocked down and you will win, PERIOD.

Very short and to the point, BE, DO and you will HAVE
